 George and Carole City: Vancouver, British Columbia Our first experience of Italian food was the Trattoria and our favourite waiter extroidonairre J.J. We absolutely loved the restaurant and the exceptional service. Then J.J. told us about Matteo's and we were hooked. My husband absolutely loves the Osso Bucco and my Mother said it was the best she ever tasted when dining out - she makes her own and it is excellent. We can hardly wait for the re-opening of Matteo's following the renovations and if there was a way of telling everyone in Hawaii, we would do it. |
 Mark and Angela City: Ripon, CA USA My wife and I first tried Matteo's about 10 years ago, and we make it a point to eat there on our visits to the Islands. Besides the great food and service, we just love the overall ambiance of the place. We made our last Island visit in October 2008, and were disappointed to find out that it was closed for remodeling. As we get close to our return trip in April 2010, we hope the work is finished by the anticipated reopening time of March 2010. Our dinner(s) there are always a high point to our trip. Look forward to seeing you there on the 5th of April, our 30th wedding Anniversary. |
 Todd & Donna Jones We've been going to Honolulu every year for the past 11 years, and a visit to Matteo's is always on our itinerary. The atmosphere and food are outstanding, as is the staff. We always request our favorite waiter--Jean Jacques. Very professional service and a great sense of humor. The bar staff is equally fabulous--regards to Angel. I have never experienced a more classy restaurant than Matteos's, and I have eaten at a lot of fine dinning restaurants. Matteos's is in a league of their own. I will continue to go there over and over again. I recommend anyone who wants to impress their lady to make a reservation at Matteo's and the rest will be history! |
| Michael Shell Excellent in every way! The Macadamia crusted Ono was wonderful, the wine list is first rate and they make a terrific Martini. Very much an experience like you would have had in Honolulu in the 50s and 60s. Frank Sinatra loved to eat here and once was part owner. Prices not out of line with other first class restaurants in Waikiki. If you eat here you receive a free admission to the night club Zanzabar but be warned, Zanzabar is for the younger crowd. |

Not only are the food, service and atmosphere first class, but value and consistency play a large role in my opinion. Without hesitation I recommend Matteo's whenever I am asked where iss a good place to eat?. She knows how to make a evening enjoyable for her customers. Looking forward to Jan of 2006. The Veal Osoboko is a great meal, one not to be missed. |

| Dave Shamblin City: Redding, CA USA My son's baseball team had a series in Hawaii and my wife and I were lucky enough to spend ten days on the islands. One of the highlights was dinner at Matteo's. Best Ceasar salad we have ever had, great atmosphere, and unmatched service. We like to take our time during dinner and make dining an entire evening experience, and from the cocktails at the bar to the end of the meal we were never rushed. Dining at a slower pace is so uncommon with people today, and it is refreshing to find a restaurant that understands what a pleasure this can be! Can't wait to go back. |

The food was great, the atmosphere was relaxing and the service was above reproach. Our waiter was Cy K. He was fabulous.
